I am a medical doctor, a physician. I am a registered medical practitioner, listed by the General Medical Council with a licence to practice and specialist status as a child and adolescent psychiatrist. My GMC number is 6031039.

As a Child and Adolescent psychiatrist, I have worked in the area for over a decade and understand the local diversity in strengths and needs from the association with the Schools in Tendring and Colchester districts.

I run training workshops for teachers, SENCos (special education needs coordinator), LSA (learning support assistants) and parents on various topics (ADHD, Attachment disorders, Tics/Tourette's, Autism, Social anxiety, OCD and emotional wellbeing).

I see patients from nursery age (3 years and above) to 19 years with emotional, behavioural, communication or relationship difficulties. The types of problem I see most frequently are:

• Problems with attention and/or overactivity, particularly when attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is suspected
• Obsessive-compulsive disorder and other Anxiety disorders
• Tic disorders and Tourette's syndrome
• Difficulties with social interaction, including autistic spectrum disorders*
